okaayy so it's all done- am booked to leave for Cairo early next week to visit my childhood bff for ten days! am terribly excited and am praying inshallah i have a great trip (both photography wise and otherwise).
no need to promise trip blogs when i come back because that goes without saying!
i don't think i have any Arab readers but hey if there is some silent Arab lurking around here send in suggestions of things to do and places to see in Cairo. you guys know the email address by now! lifemeansdrama@gmail.com !
i plan to take a weekend trip up to Alexandria for sure- and since i have working friends i'm looking to catch some tourist day tours with some hotel. suggestions in that department are seriously needed!

my mom tells me that Alexandria has a great library and that you can seriously chill out by the Red Sea...Cairo is one big Bohri Bazaar so just stick to the 'sight seeing'.
my suggestion is that you get me goodies.
:D
oh wow. Ideal, ideal trip. Have a great time =D
i offered you the services of a local who knows her way around cairo...but you dissed me...
so i suggest sharm or aswan...i heard they're pretty...
i hear its more notorious than khi for pickpockets so hold your camera and wallet close to you!! youll have a blast inshallah!! :)
Remember not to call them arabs. Egyptians hate being called arabs, they identify themselves "only" as Egyptians. Being in the African continent and blah blah....do the Nile cruise! Enjoy! :)
egypt!!! how exciting!!! my thesis supervisor is from egypt and he tells me that the diversity of race, religion, lifestyle in egypt is very interesting. i dream of going there one day.
oh how exciting!!! have tons of fun!!!
hey they have just discovered a new pyramid outside Cairo...good for you Kay, beat the lines and be there first!!
when i heard about the new pyramid on the news today, the first thing i thought was "and we have a documentarian to take photos of the action live!" haha. but seriously, what excellent timing to be a part of history in the making...or history being rediscovered and now in the making (?). u and egypt were meant to be.
how do you discover a new pyramid.
is it that small that nobody noticed it?
i havent read the article.lol.
oh my god- i wanted to come yesterday and tell you about this but clearly breaking news reached you first.
khizzy- you can check this: http://news.google.co.uk/news/url?sa=t&ct=uk/0-0&fp=491c82f120c62f7f&ei=UggcSanIJaKO6APOzcXGAw&url=http%3A//news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2008/11/081111-new-pyramid-egypt.html&cid=1269128056&usg=AFQjCNH1xBOwg-WiQ9c6raGRkz-i4AkoOg
and kAy- atleast one blog from Cairo itslef, no?
a blog from cairo would be a first...i vote yes!
i think one of two things is happening...either kay is having way too much fun in egypt and doesnt feel the need to update her blog.....or egypt has terrible internet connections. :)
Hey, came by here after a very long time to find so much goodness happening in your life. Congrats on the full bright, i think no one doubts you will make the best of it for sure. Try not to buy into the American dream though, its tempting, sure, but it takes one too far from their own identity. And while some people may need to change who they are to become special, you certainly don't. Have fun and continue plucking stars.
so how many of us check this blog every 30 minutes?
raise your hand.
insiya raises both her hands...
once a day...
